Congrats are in order!! Our very own Sandhya Sharma has received her PhD!
Sandhya serves as the Vice President on our Board for AWIS-Houston. Her defense was on August 9th, 2023, entitled “Overcoming immune evasion strategies to enhance the potency of EBV-specific T-cells for EBV-associated lymphoma.” Sandhya’s PhD degree was obtained from the department of Translational Biology in Molecular Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and she trained under Dr. Cliona M Rooney, Center for Cell and Gene Therapy – Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine.
