The Outstanding Woman In Science (OWIS) award is AWIS Houston’s flagship award and event meant to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in STEMM careers. Last Friday, we held the 2024 OWIS in-person award ceremony and networking event to honor this year’s awardee, Dr. Indira Mysorekar. We had a great turnout and a successful event! AWIS Houston members and colleagues got a chance to meet Dr. Mysorekar in-person and network with each other over light appetizers and drinks at the Social Beer Garden. We would like to give a huge shoutout to India and Mumine, our dedicated volunteers, who helped make this event happen successfully!
